Zambia offering adventure, heritage at Durban Tourism Expo
Adventure, wildlife, heritage and culture are the major products that Zambia is selling to the outside world at this year's Tourism Indaba currently underway in Durban, South Africa.
Zambia Tourism Agency, Marketing Director Mwabashike Nkulukusa who is leading the Zambian delegation is optimistic that with these key areas of focus, the sector is poised to register huge growth."Under Heritage, our flagship product is the Victoria Falls, besides many others falls and Museums spread around the country", said Mr. Nkulukusa.
The opening was done by South Africa Minister of Tourism Derek Hanekom who spoke about how the Indaba has evolved into Africa's largest and most successful tourism show that creates a platform to showcase the best of Africa's tourism products and services. Also critical from the deliberations is the need for Intra-African trade and developing policies that reflect positively on what the continent can offer with a firm focus on the industry's Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs).
Over 1000 exhibitors, 1856 buyers and 724 media drawn from all over the world are under one roof to showcase, network and clinch tourism business deals.
